Considering your own OnlyFans?

Or have you already tried — but not quite got it to work?

I've helped many people get started and succeed on OnlyFans, and this is what I usually go through with people before they make a decision. Read through it — and if you're still curious afterwards, you can reach out for a no-strings chat.

Who can benefit from this help?

You who are considering starting: You have friends or acquaintances who are on the platform, and might want to try it yourself. You've sold content on other platforms before but never got going on OnlyFans because of uncertainty or too little information. You've heard the stories of all those earning a lot of money and wonder if it's really as easy as some make it seem. Or maybe you just enjoy showing yourself off and getting attention, and think you could earn a bit of money on it at the same time.

Whatever the reason — you're unsure how it really works, how much work it is, and whether it suits you. You want good, honest answers before you decide.

You who already have an account: You may have had the profile for a few months but it isn't taking off. Few subscribers. Few purchases. You don't know what you're doing wrong. This is something many experience — and usually it's simple, concrete things that can be changed to get good effect.

What is OnlyFans actually?

OnlyFans is a subscription platform where content creators earn money directly from their fans — without many middlemen taking large parts of the profit, as some agencies or other sites do. The platform launched in 2016 and today has over 220 million users worldwide.

Simply put: you publish content (images, video, text messages, livestreams), and your fans pay to see it. You decide the price yourself, what you want to share, and how far you want to go.

OnlyFans allows explicit content — but remember that doesn't mean you HAVE to show explicit content. There are fitness trainers, chefs, artists and musicians on the platform. However it's undoubtedly the adult content most people associate with the site, and the area where you can realistically earn money without already having a large follower base in other content.

Things to think through before you decide

Do you want to be anonymous, or show your face?

Creators who show their face on average earn more. But there's no doubt you can also earn well without showing your face — it's about being clear about your niche and brand from day 1. The most important thing is that you decide in advance. Starting with face and then hiding it later is almost impossible.

As a starting point I recommend everyone to start without face. At least until you're sure this is something you want to do, and perhaps have a clarified relationship around it with family and friends.

How much time can you invest?

It's a myth that OnlyFans is passive income. It's a job. The more time you put in, the more you earn. Most who succeed spend at least 10–20 hours a week on content, marketing and contact with fans. You can absolutely run it alongside a regular job — many do — but then you must be realistic about the pace.

At the start there can be a lot to learn and think through. So it's important to make good assessments and preparations to save time later.

What about tax?

Income from OnlyFans is taxable in Norway, just like other income. Most people register a sole proprietorship (ENK) with Brønnøysundregistrene when income starts to become real. It's simpler than it sounds, and we help you set up accounting correctly from the start. No nightmare.

What can you actually expect?

It's important to understand that very few become rich on OnlyFans during the first months. Those who succeed have usually spent many months building up a stable follower base and income before it starts to grow. This is not a sprint.

The nice thing is there's no ceiling either. Those who really go for it — who treat it as a serious job — can earn several hundred thousand a month. Nordic creators who have succeeded have done exactly that: worked smart, been patient, and followed a plan.

If you go in with the thought 'I'll give it 30 days and see how it goes' — don't start. Then you'll be disappointed and give up before it starts to loosen.

The mental preparation people often forget

It's one thing to decide to do this, and quite another to actually live with the choice.

What about family, friends, work and local community? Norway is still a relatively conservative society in this area. Some will support you, others won't. You need to think through who you tell — and how you'll handle it if someone finds out. Most don't experience anyone in their circle discovering it, but the possibility exists.

Be honest with yourself. Is this really something you want — or just something that looks like a quick path to money? People who start for the wrong reasons give up quickly. People who start because they're curious, comfortable with themselves and willing to learn, succeed more often.

Competition is fierce. There are millions of creators globally. But there are also 220 million users looking for someone who is exactly your type. You don't need to be 'everyone's type' — just your type's type.

Security — what you need to know now

  • Use a pseudonym, preferably. Not your real name as username. Decide on a stage name before you register.
  • Screenshots can be taken. OnlyFans has built-in protection against this, but nothing is 100 %. Never share anything you can't accept ending up on the internet at some point in the future.
  • Think long-term. What you post today lives on. Be sure of your choices before you upload.

To men reading this

Yes — men can also succeed on OnlyFans. But the rules of the game are a little different.

The main audience for solo male content is predominantly men who like men. It's good to know in advance. If you target heterosexual women, the market becomes much smaller — but it exists too.

Niche means even more for men than for women. The mainstream market is oversaturated, but specific niches (bear, daddy, twink, hairy, athletic etc.) have much less competition and very loyal fans. Authenticity counts — you don't need to be extroverted or built like a model. You need to be yourself and find the audience that values just that.

What can I help you with and offer?

  • Help setting up the profile correctly from day 1 – username, bio, price, welcome message, banner, everything you need to get going.
  • Personal follow-up for a whole year – you can always ask questions, get feedback, and ask for advice when you're stuck.
  • Introduction to accounting and tax – how to register a sole proprietorship, what you need to keep, how to avoid surprises from the tax authorities.
  • Promotion via Norsk Erotikk's social media – I share your profile to my own audience.
  • Free model profile on Norsk Erotikk – with link to OnlyFans, Twitter, Snapchat and whatever else you have.
  • Tips and guidance on marketing – Reddit, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok: what works and what doesn't.

And — most importantly — you own everything yourself. I take no share of your OnlyFans income. Not 10 %. Not 5 %. Nothing. The help is free because I get a small commission from OnlyFans if you register via my recommendation — it costs you nothing extra, but lets me continue to offer free help to people who want to try.

No lock-in. No commitments. You can stop whenever you want if you find that this isn't for you or your life situation changes.

⚠️ NOTE! Don't sign up on OnlyFans before talking to us!

This is very important. If you register an account first and then contact me, I can't link it to my recommendation link — and then the basis for the help being free disappears.

Send me a message first, then I'll get in touch — and you'll get the correct registration link and a scheduled time for the first walkthrough.

Already have an account? Reach out anyway. Then we can look at what isn't working and make a plan to turn it around. The model just looks a little different — but the help is the same.

Frequently asked questions

Does it cost anything to get help?

No. The help is completely free for you. I get a small commission from OnlyFans if you register via my link — no cost to you, and that's what finances the help.

How anonymous can I be — also towards you?

You can be completely anonymous to the audience (pseudonym, no face). Towards me I need one method of contact (email, Snapchat or similar) to be able to help — but you don't need to provide your real name.

Can I do this alongside my regular job?

Yes. Most people start that way. It's actually recommended — then you have no financial pressure the first months while you build up.

What if family or friends find out?

The risk exists, but is small if you use a pseudonym and don't show your face. We go through all anonymity measures together.

How long until I earn money?

It varies a lot from person to person, and depends on how much time and effort you put in. Most spend a few months building up a stable follower base before income starts to grow.

Why are you helping me for free — what do you get out of it?

I get a small commission from OnlyFans if you register via my link. That's enough that I can spend time helping you. You earn the same regardless of which link you use — but then you don't have the same help on hand.

More questions? Send them in via the form above — and I'll add them here over time.
